It was built around 1852 by the ironmaster Alexandre GOUVY and became the favorite vacation spot of his brother, the composer Théodore GOUVY. The Théodore Gouvy Institute has successfully restored the image of the long-forgotten musician by publishing and having his works performed throughout the world. The Villa currently houses the headquarters of the Théodore Gouvy Institute. The Villa is currently closed for rehabilitation and upgrading work.
