A village with a lot to discover... Quite surprising that the historic centre of Béning gets so little attention as there are some charmingly preserved agricultural labourers' houses. These houses in Rue Basse date from around 1730 and their style is rather different from the half-timbered houses on the plateau. These impressive houses are inspired by an urban style, comparable to the bourgeois houses in St. Avold, to reflect the prosperity of wealthy farmers. Particularly the porches are very elegant.
