Farébersviller is a typical example of a village that experienced an American-type economic upturn. When coal mining became a major local industry, a large mining district was established near the rural heart of the village. Surprisingly, today a minaret overlooks the town. The place is a real melting pot of numerous nationalities. Many people came here to find work in the coal mines. The village has a church from the 18th century with a round belfry from the 17th century.
