Barst is home to a modest but surprising ossuary from the 1987th century which has been listed in the Supplementary Inventory of Historical Monuments since XNUMX. An inscription in German and Latin, dated from the XNUMXth century, invites us to humility.
“THIS IS DIVINE JUSTICE, HERE LIES THE MASTER AS HIS SERVANT. APPROACH, YOU WISE OF THIS WORLD, AND SAY WHO IS THE KNOB AND WHO IS THE MASTER. BLESSED ARE THEY WHO DIED IN THE LORD”
This ossuary is located at the rear of the church with possible access via rue de Biding.
