The aquatic Maginot line is the particularity of our territory in terms of military tourism. The Hoste ponds located furthest upstream on this line had the particularity of serving as both reservoirs and obstacles. The Hoste-Bas pond remains today the only one still equipped with its siphon system. The proximity of the dike defense blockhouse and a vestige of the old military cemetery from the Second World War make Hoste a unique and unmissable site.
