The Hoste ponds, which lie furthest upstream on the aquatic Maginot Line, served as reservoirs and obstacles.
Today Hoste-Bas Pond is the only one that still has its siphon system.The nearby dike defence blockhaus and a vestige of an old Second World War cemetery make Hoste a unique site that must not be missed.
